This Sneaky Snake evokes all sorts of memories for those who eventually come across it. I’ve had several customers make the decision to purchase one or some even though they already have all the cables they need from me, simply because they had to have it!
For me, I reckon I get why so many are drawn to it, it’s nostalgic and in my case nostalgia for reptiles, both living and extinct.
When I was a kid. Institutions and let’s face it predominantly mothers looking after children were pretty canny about money and how far they could stretch it. Even if they spent the savings being on the landline too often!
Myself and two childhood friends that were brothers spent a lot of time at Edinburgh Zoo in our youth, honestly it felt like we were there every weekend at one point. Unheard of these days with the astronomical entry costs!
Back in the day however, as I mentioned people were better prepared. I think if memory serves, it was my sisters primary school that had a monthly pass to the Zoo which was basically a couple of bits of card or paper filled out in pencil lead....
So yeah, a bit sneaky eh but it was booked out by families to use and that’s what got us into the Zoo so ofter for "sweet F-A" as some might say!
Now I know I'm going on a bit but I have to let you know one more thing about those days. Something else that was possible then if you (I assume) pestered the Zoo keepers was to get your hands on some shedded snake skin. Something which I managed to do! Unfortunatly its long gone now but that skin hang on my wall for years and I can bet even if you don't need one, this Sneaky Snake instrument cable could very well end up hanging on your wall as well and even as an ornament. It will hopefully bring back some good memories for you to!
Here’s to the nitty gritty. Available whilst stocks last.
This braid tends to come once a year so no time to waste folks!
Cable Description:
- Van Damme XKE Pro Grade Instrument Cable, Lo-cap 90pf/M and Flexible - no snake oil here, Oxygen-Free tells you that the cable has been produced with the best copper for purpose. It means that this cable finished with Neutrik Ends sealing will not suffer due to the elements, therefore, no soldered connection will sever or for want of a better term "rust away" or degrade over time
- All Black and Gold Sleeve and Tip Neutrik NP2X-B or NP2RX-B, These are the most expensive connectors of Neutriks PX range. Gold does improve conductivity however the results are possibly negligible to the human ear. What genuine gold plating does offer is again, longevity, as moisture will not degrade the contacts
- Genuine Techflex Sleeving not just for looks but protecting your inner cables wires and making any knots or tangles extremely easy to separate
- Branded Black Practical Patch Heat Shrink Covers Neutrik Assemblies
- All instrument cables come with a genuine Velcro cable tie
