Sommer Hoose, Sommer Haus, Sommer House....
German engineered instrument cable with a serious underground cult like following. Very popular with Practical Patch customers since its introduction as ideal for any home setup, studio interface or indeed just plugging into your favourite amp out in the shed, summer house or garage...
Its not just about reputation and a sensible price and length here. Sommer the Spirit XXL Truly delivers something magical not only to your ear but also to the feel underneath your fingers on the fretboard.
Stunning bottom end with an excellent low capacitence high, it really does deliver to the point that one before and after a pedalboard is almost in a way like adding a quality buffer to your rig.
Sounds to good to be true? Trust me, it isn't. If you really want to experence what this cable can do, get in touch with myself and as well as a couple of instrument cables, get yourself some Sommer the Spirit XXL Patch Cables at the same time. The transformation to a pedalboard is remarkable. Just keep in mind however its a thicker beast than most and whilst flexable it will never be as flexable as Practical Patches other offerings.
Now, to the details.
Practical Patch's favourite unbalanced cable for electric guitar and bass put together with Neutrik Connectors and prepared by hand.
Components list:
- 2 x Neutrik NP2X-B (Striaght connectors only at this price)
- 280cm Sommer the Spirit XXL Cable used to produce before trimming, Low-Cap at 86pf/M
- Branded Black Practical Patch Heat Shrink over Connector Assemblies
- Lead-Free solder and Rosin Flux.
Sommer Notes:
- Sommer's colour is difficult to photograph, you are probably not as likely to be as bothered about this as Practical Patch is, but just be aware, that in real life it looks even better.
- Worth knowing is over time the cables jacket can become much more supple to the touch, what this means is you will have the same great transfer but gradually the cable will become more and more flexible.
